Fox and Artemis on Planet Zog

Fox loved his workshop. He built rockets all day. His dog Artemis watched and wagged.

"I want a real prize," Fox said. "Something nobody has seen before!" Artemis barked yes.

Fox pointed at the sky. "Let's find a new planet!" Artemis jumped into the rocket.

Whoosh! The rocket zoomed up. Stars flew past. Artemis pressed her nose to the window.

They landed on a pink, bumpy planet. The sky was green. The air smelled like candy. "Stay close," Fox said. Artemis did not stay close. She ran fast into the tall grass.

Fox chased her. "Artemis, wait!" Then he stopped. He saw something amazing.

A big blue plant sparkled. Tiny robots grew on it like shiny berries. They blinked at him.

"Whoa," Fox whispered. Artemis sniffed one robot. It beeped softly and wiggled its little arms.

The robots climbed off the plant. They walked in a neat line toward Fox and Artemis.

One robot spoke. "We need help. Please. We need it now." Its voice was small and sad.

Fox knelt down. "What do you need?" The robot pointed at his shiny tool belt.

Artemis growled. Something felt wrong. She tugged Fox's sleeve with her teeth.

"Hush, Artemis," Fox said. "They just need help." But Artemis would not stop growling.

More robots came. Hundreds. Thousands. They poured out from under every leaf. "Give us your tools," they all said together. "Give us your rocket. Give us everything."

Fox stepped back. His heart thumped hard. This was not a prize. This was trouble.

Artemis barked loud. She spun in a circle. Her collar began to glow bright blue.

Fox blinked. "Artemis? Your collar is magic?" She winked. She never told him before. The robots froze. One whispered, "The magic dog. She is here. Run!"

Fox grabbed Artemis. "You knew about this place!" Artemis just wagged her tail.

The blue plant shook. A big door opened inside it. Something huge was waking up.

A deep voice boomed from the plant. "Artemis. My old friend. You came back."

Fox stared at his dog. "Who ARE you?" Artemis smiled. To Be Continued...
